Tempo change for the Wildcats in 2019

We are excited to announce the signing of Abbey Ellis for the 2019 inaugural Senior Elite League season. The talented young point guard will contribute on both ends of the floor for the Wildcats with the ability to shoot, create and defend to name just a few.

Previously playing for the Bulleen Boomers in both junior and senior ranks, Ellis also represented Victorian Metro in the U18’s state team and recently committed to Cal Poly University in the USA.

Ellis is excited to develop her game in the new Elite League.

“I am very excited to be playing for the Eltham Wildcats in 2019 in the new Elite League under such knowledgeable coaches and players.”

“I am looking forward to pushing myself from junior to senior basketball whilst up against experienced players with the Wildcats and against other teams. I am thrilled to have this opportunity to play basketball at a high quality that can assist me to develop as a player and athlete which will help me prepare for my college journey in 2019,” said Ellis.

Coach Grant Spencer couldn’t be happier to have the talented young guard in the group for 2019.

“Abbey is a very good young developing local talent. She is a very hard worker and will bring a type of enthusiasm and tempo that you cannot teach. Abbey’s focus is preparing for College and the new Elite league is a perfect place for her to learn from experienced players and get a small taste of playing senior basketball before going to college. I am looking forward to watching Abbey take her opportunities this year.”
