Eltham Wildcats are heading to the NBA Jr World Championships

For the first time ever, the NBA is going to host a Junior World Championships and the Wildcats’ boys are on their way! We aren’t just representing the Eltham club, nor just Victoria or Australia. The Eltham Wildcat boys (and the girls from local friends/rivals Bulleen) are the representatives of the Asia-Pacific region at the event in August 2018.

The boys and their coaches will receive an all expenses paid trip to play in the inaugural event, competing against 7 of the best club teams from the world, one from each of: Europe, Africa, South America, China, Canada, India and Mexico, then competing against 8 teams from various qualifying events across the USA.

Thank you to those who were able to make it along for the surprise announcement on Wednesday, thanks to those who also passed on apologies. We look forward to further opportunities to promote basketball, our relationships with school, business and interested individuals/groups and celebrate this amazing opportunity that these kids have achieved for themselves!
