Eltham Wildcats 64 defeated by Hawthorn Magic 94
B. Waldren 16 points, J.Aver 14 points, I. Bonhomme 12 points

After a sloppy first quarter the wheels would fall off for the Wildcats as the Hawthorn Magic outscored Eltham 54-31 in the second half. The Wildcats threw 22 turnovers, shot the ball at 38%, were out rebounded and outplayed for majority of the game. The Wildcats will have a lot to work on for game two this Saturday night.

Youth Men 
Eltham Wildcats 58 defeated by Nunawading Spectres 71
C. Yammouni 20 points, M. Scherf 13 points, B. Norris & O. Magbegor 8 points

The Youth Men have lost game two of the Grand Final series in front off a packed house on Saturday night at Eltham High. The visitors came out full off confidence and would go into the main break with a a 10 point lead. The Wildcats would lock down defensively in the third and force Nunawading into low percentage shots as C. Yammouni would cut the lead to only four points with free throws at the end of the third.

The fourth quarter would be like no other. M. Scherf hit a 3 point shot off the inbound to cut the lead to one point and the Wildcats would take the lead 56-54 with seven minutes remaining in the game. The Spectres would slowly pull away behind excellent shooting and execution down the stretch when it mattered the most to win the game and the Grand Final.
