Our Junior Representative teams compete in the Victorian Junior Basketball League (VJBL), which is the highest junior competition in Victoria. It is Basketball Victoria’s state-wide competition, with age groups from U12 to U20s.

The VJBL operates using a home-and-away system with grading rounds and multiple divisions . The focus is on team and player performance and achievement. Games are usually played in metropolitan Melbourne and may be played in regional locations.
Athletes may register for trails during late September and in October. These are conducted on Fridays and Sundays and will be a mix of on court and game simulation. Players and teams are selected by a panel with independent selectors.
The trials are observed by selected team coaches and other independent selectors. They meet as an independently-chaired panel to select teams based on performance at the trials, team balance, development objectives, and past performance.
