Although dominating the rebounds (73-55), points in the paint (40-22) and attempting 30 free throws the Wildcats have come up three points short against the Eagles on Sunday at Eltham High School. The game was close the whole way until the final two minutes when the Eagles stretched the lead to 10 points behind an I. Nikolareas 3 point basket. The visiting Eagles hung on for dear life as the Wildcats finished the game on a 10-2 run with a Steph Waldron lay up cut the lead to only three as time expired.

Youth Men
Eltham Wildcats 85 def Bulleen Boomers 61
Top performers: Z. Cunningham 24 points/9 rebounds, S. Clarke 15 points, T. Clifford 10 points/11 rebounds

Although short handed the Wildcats came to play on Sunday afternoon at Eltham High School against local rivals the Bulleen Boomers. A 24-15 opening period set the tone for Eltham as they won every quarter of the game with all players hitting the scoreboard. A whopping 54-20 points in the paint pretty much sums up the height advantage and inside presence the Wildcats had which was too much for the Boomers. Zak Cunningham, Sean Clarke and Tom Clifford were at their absolute best.
