After a big win the week before Eltham dominated the first quarter 20-11 against the Geelong Supercats on Sunday. Things quickly went south for the Wildcats as they only managed to score 2 points in the second period finding it hard to convert their shots. A 17-9 third quarter quickly got things back on track as the Wildcats took a ten point lead (39-29) going into the final quarter. Geelong then went on a 25-5 run which included three 3 point makes which would be the difference in the game.

Although the Wildcats came out firing behind Christian Yammouni’s five three pointers they only managed to have a 31-28 advantage going into the second period. From there Eltham won the remaining three quarters including a 20-10 second period to secure their 14th win of the season. Once again it was a team effort for Coach Stratford and his group with nine players scoring and 37 points coming from the bench. The Wildcats go into the long weekend break sitting on top of the Watson Conference with a 14-1 record.
