The Eltham Wildcats have teamed up with Sophro Australia and Andy Reynolds from CrossFit Soul Rebel to bring our junior athletes a one hour high performance workshop these school holidays that will improve their vertical jump base and breathwork. The one hour session will feature a mix of breathwork for athletic performance while combining balance & stability, specific speed work (acceleration & deceleration mechanics) and specific Isometric Strength exercises.
The goal is to introduce the core principles of strength and conditioning for basketball while imparting valuable breathing and recovery techniques in real time as athletes are experiencing elevated heart rates and fatigue.
Whether the athlete is interested in vertical leap development, speed up and down the court or stronger joints and muscles, this program provides a base to focus and highlight the importance of mastery and progression when pursuing high end performance.
Participants will be assessed on an individual level to identify strength and weaknesses in development throughout the workshops.
