The Eltham Wildcat boys started their Under 14 Club National Championships today with an early start and the opening ceremony. What a fantastic experience for all the boys to walk out wearing their Eltham uniform and be greeted by a stand full of proud parents and friends. This was followed by a quick footage session to check out our opponents then onto the court for a shooting session. We then had lunch and spent the afternoon relaxing (and cutting hair) before heading back to Dandenong for our first game.
Sydney Comets were the opponents for today and it was a tight tussle from minute one. The lead changed several times throughout the game and unfortunately we were unable to get the points when the siren rang. Looking forward, we have two more games tomorrow and the boys are keen to get back on the court and onto the winners list.

We thought the game today against Sydney Comets was a very good opening match. Unfortunately we lost but we did work hard to get back into the game (kinda). We are very proud of our team (Together, Everyone, Achieves, More) efforts. We never put our head down and fought until the end. We cant wait for the games ahead and to mingle with each other.
