Our thoughts and best wishes are with the Cukier and extended family after the passing overnight of Jan Cukier. The family name is synonymous with the Wildcats and Jan’s battle has been felt and supported by many throughout the club and local community.
Jan’s wife Cathy is a Vice-President of the club, son Ben our Junior Girls Director of Coaching and daughter Paula a coach and administrator as well as daughter Alison (Jac) who has previously been heavily involved.
The reach goes further with son-in law D’Wayne our 16/1 Girls coach and grand children many of whom coach, work and/or play for the Wildcats (or will soon) including Lauryn, Breanna, Sia, Harvey and Quinn, with nephew Tom O’Connor also a well known face around the club.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to a terrific family. Rest in peace Jan Cukier, a great man who was happy and bubbly despite his health battles and an inspiration to those who knew him. We are sure he’ll be cheering the Wildcats from above!
