COVID-19 Update – Thursday 29th July

BASKETBALL IS BACK!

In line with the Victorian Government announcement earlier this week and in conjunction with Basketball Victoria, basketball is currently operating under ‘ORANGE 50 REACTIVATION LEVEL’. The below restrictions are in place for all basketball competitions and programs:

– 18 & under are allowed to bring 1 parent or guardian to game (no other spectators are allowed entry).
– Each team is allowed to bring 1 scorer.
– Face masks are mandatory for everyone 12 years & over, unless medically exempt. Players, coaches and referees are exempt whilst participating in exertive exercise but must wear entering venue.
– QR code check in.
– Teams are not permitted to enter the venue 10 minutes prior to the game, they must also leave venue immediately after the game.
– Social distancing must be maintained
– Hand Sanitise

EDJBA Junior Domestic

Saturday Junior Domestic games will resume this Saturday 31st July.

Senior Domestic

Mid-week Senior Domestic Competition has re-commenced and following the same restrictions as per above.

Introductory Programs (Kinder Club, Cub Squad, Skills & Drills)

All Introductory programs are back up and running. Saturday Kinder Club has been moved to Old Montmorency for at least the first two weeks. An extra week has been added at the end of term to make up for missed sessions.

NBL1 & Big V

NBL1 & Big V competition will also return this weekend but unfortunately no spectators are allowed to attend games. You can still support our NBL1 teams by watching the live stream Saturday night via https://nbl1.com.au/ and also view the live stats for our Big V Youth League teams here: https://gameday.bigv.com.au/

Wildcats Wellbeing Program

We understand every individual and family has been affected differently during this time and we hope we can be a support to anyone in need of assistance. It takes courage to speak up but when you’re ready we are here to support you! Feel free to reach out to the Child Safety and Wellbeing committee if you have any concerns and they will assist you to their best degree and link you with appropriate services and resources. All cases will be dealt with complete confidentiality.
