The Eltham Wildcats Senior Men paid a surprise visit to an U9 junior Wildcat training session this week. After losing their first three games by considerable margins the Senior Men wanted to help and provide a morale booster for our inspiring U9 players.
American imports Josh Sykes, Illarion Bonhomme and local stars Sam Whelan and Tom O’Connor took the team through drills, played games and finished with a dunk session that included 360 and between the legs dunks.
US import Josh Sykes was absolutely thrilled to be a part of the evening “It was amazing to meet the team and hang out with them. I had so much fun”.
The night not only was a hit for our budding young players but also the Senior Men according to Tom O’Connor.
“This is why we play and love this club. It was great to see all the children smiling and having fun”.
You can watch the Senior Men take on the defending Champion Ringwood Hawks this Saturday Night at Eltham High (8pm). The Youth Men play Melbourne Tigers before at 6pm.
Mothers Day Double Header on Sunday at Eltham High will see the Youth Women take on Camberwell at 12:30pm followed by the Senior Women at 2:30pm. Tickets can be purchased at the door.
