The Youth Women travelled to McKinnon on Saturday afternoon for a 4pm tip off against the Cougars. McKinnon jumped to an early 10-2 lead in the first three minutes of play and from there controlled the first half going into the halftime break with a 16 point lead (19-35).

The Wildcats bounced back in the second half winning both the third and fourth periods while reducing the Cougars lead to only 4 points with three minutes to play in the game. Unfortunately Eltham ran out of steam down the stretch eventually falling only 7 points short.

Coach D’Wayne Hogan said “opportunities were available but we didn’t utilise them of the offensive end. I like that we didn’t stop competing no matter what the score was and all players got a chance to contribute.”

The Youth Women will be back on court this Sunday at Eltham High School when they take on the Casey Cavaliers at 12pm. Tickets are on sale now via: https://www.trybooking.com/BRLIS
