The Eltham Wildcats have advanced to the Grand Final with an impressive 37 point demolition of the Melbourne Tigers on Saturday night at Eltham High School. A quick 6-0 run to start the game for Eltham set the tone while their defence led the way keeping the Tigers shooting to only 29% (18/62).

Eltham led the whole game winning all four quarters to secure a much wanted Grand Final rematch against the defending Champion the Nunawading Spectres. The best of three Grand Final series details will be released in teh coming days with game 1 being held at Nunawading this weekend followed by game 2 & 3 (if required) at Eltham High School the following week.

Eltham Wildcats 62 def by Corio Bay 71
Top Performers: E Horsley 15 points/16 rebounds, J. Daoud 11 points, E. Davies 10 points/7 rebounds

Eltham have lost their final game of the 2019 season on the road against Corio Bay on Sunday. A slow start for the Wildcats saw them trail 31-45 at the main break. Eltham picked up the intensity and won the second half but it wouldn’t be enough to overcome the deficit eventually going down by 9 points. An improved season by Coach Stones and the Youth Women who won 6 games finishing 7th on the ladder only a couple games short of playoffs.
